About 2048
Slide a four-by-four board and combine equal numbers into larger tiles. A move shifts every tile as far as it can go in the chosen direction, and each tile can merge once during that move. A new tile appears after a move that changes the board. The goal is to build a 2048 tile while keeping space for the next merge. This version includes one-step undo and keeps your best score in this browser.

Tips for your next round
Keep your largest tile near a corner and build a chain beside it. Empty squares give you more options than a board full of small tiles.
